I haven’t moved in yet, but my experience with Alera Apartments so far has been very positive. This is a brand-new complex, and everything looks clean, modern, and well maintained. Nayelhin Ortiz has been extremely helpful, professional, and responsive throughout the leasing process, making everything smooth and stress-free. I’m looking forward to moving in.

I had an amazing experience touring this community! The leasing consultant was absolutely wonderful—very welcoming, knowledgeable, and attentive throughout the entire tour. They took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure all of my questions were answered. You can truly see the pride and commitment they have to the community; the property is beautiful and well maintained. The tour felt genuine and not rushed at all. Highly recommend asking for them if you’re looking for a great leasing experience!

I had the pleasure of touring the building with Nayelhin, and she was absolutely wonderful. Even though I didn’t end up qualifying for the beautiful apartments, her kindness and positive energy truly made my day. She took her time showing me around, answered all my questions, and made the whole experience enjoyable. Exceptional service like hers deserves recognition! Highly recommend working with her. 🌟

The apartments themselves are beautiful, but my experience with the management was extremely disappointing. I paid $325 in fees and was denied within a week for not making “3x the rent.” This would have been understandable had I been told that upfront, but during my tour no one mentioned this requirement at all. Transparency matters, especially when people are paying nonrefundable fees. For context, the rent for a 1 bedroom is $1,300. Expecting a 21 year old in Lake Wales to make three times that amount in today’s economy is unrealistic. Still, I asked if I could add another income to meet the requirement. Instead of offering real assistance, I was told they could rerun my application for $250 and presented it as a courtesy. To be clear, paying an additional fee days after already losing $325 is not a courtesy for the applicant. It only benefits the office. From my experience, the apartments are not the issue. The lack of transparency and the money focused policies are. It felt less like an application process and more like a series of fees with very little communication. Future applicants should be aware and ask for every requirement in writing before paying anything. Good luck!
