The absolute worst mgmt and complex I have ever lived at. Previous resident and they are removing all the negative reviews but are the truth ! Major building construction issue, floods and poor mgmt team ! Don’t spend your money to live there !

I had the pleasure of working with Jennifer during my apartment search, and she was an absolute delight — friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful from start to finish. The community itself is stunning. The facilities are beautiful, exceptionally well-maintained, and the location is perfect — so close and convenient to Steiner Ranch. Everything about the property feels high-end and thoughtfully designed. I was really excited about the possibility of calling this place home. Unfortunately, due to some confidentiality issues that arose during the application process, I wasn’t able to secure the apartment. While I’m disappointed I won’t be moving in, my experience with the property and the team was overwhelmingly positive. I hope the refundable portion of my deposit can be processed smoothly so I can wholeheartedly recommend this community to others without hesitation. Thank you, Jennifer and the team, for making the process so pleasant up until that point. I’d happily visit again or refer friends who are looking in the area!

I was moving back to Austin and desperately needed a place to live, as I was apartment shopping I came across this place. They were new apartments and had really enticing move in specials with beautiful amenities, so it felt like a no-brainer. Little did I know this place was going to be run so poorly. Back in January during the freeze, a pipe burst in my building and they took over two months to finish repairs. Which left more than enough time for mold to grow, and is likely still present under the dry wall they finally put up. Since March, (and even farther back if you look at the fire departments call log) the building's fire alarm system has malfunctioned consistently and persistently (not an individual apartment, the building). The fire department has responded to that alarm over 16 times in that timeframe, at all hours of the day and night. The leasing office spent months lying about the problem, refusing to acknowledge this was an actual problem, attempting to blame building residents vaping in their apartment, claiming this is not something that needs repair. Almost 3 weeks ago, it happened again in the middle of the day while I was working. I have PTSD, and could not take the piercing alarm anymore. I met the fire department outside the building after they shut the alarm off, spoke to them in person and had them tell me this was the same faulty sensor that has gone off repeatedly. The same faulty sensor that they have personally responded to well over a dozen times. I walked to the front office with them, and watched them tell the leasing office it was the same faulty sensor that has been going off for months. That they were now being reported to prevention for failing to fix something that was still new enough to be under warranty to fix cost free. After the fire department left, I walked into the office to speak to the manager. Crying and shaking, I informed her that the renter's rights of everyone in that building are being violated. This was unacceptable, and at this point inhumane. Malfunctioning alarms are considered an emergency repair by the state of Texas and need to be amended within 7 days of requests being received. They also violate a resident's right to a peaceful and safe dwelling. A little over a week later, the alarm goes off 3 times within a couple days. They failed to acknowledge the problem. They failed to take the problem seriously. They failed to repair the problem. They failed to provide updates within a reasonable timeframe. It is so dangerous to have not taken this seriously for months, if there had been a real fire (which is more than possible especially considering how high the fire rates go up the closer Austin gets to summer) the potential casualties from people waiting for the alarm to be shut off by the fire department because the alarm has gone off so many times would've been immense. The toll this has taken on residence well being, especially the children and pets who live in that building is immense. Breaking trust with your residents who requested and then begged you to fix a problem you were obligated to repair in a timely manner and the months you spent lying about it was not only immoral, but unethical. Do not give this place your hard earned money. Not in this economy.

I don’t even want to talk about the hell this apartment put me through. Do yourself a favor and avoid them. If you are already a resident and are planning to sue them, please reach out to me.

For EV owners, be aware that the cost to charge is ~0.98 cents per kWh. For reference, it would cost me nearly $85 dollars to charge my Honda Prologue from 0 to 100. Tesla chargers are typically around $0.49 per kWh. I understand that the complex may be trying to generate a profit but for the amount you pay per month + application fees, it should be free, like other complexes in the Austin metro area.

This is ridiculous! Fees are insane while units sit empty. This is how Malls died in America, businesses were simply priced out. It is almost like the people who run everything in America today have no idea how to operate a thriving business. If units are empty, your prices are to high - end of story. If you can't make money at those prices, you paid too much for the business. On another note, the noise from the road racers all night is super annoying. It is every night, all night and day. Layout of the units are MEH. Management is eye rolling. Location would be great if you were not trapped on an island between backed up highways from Austin traffic. Good news? Yeah, there are far better options all over Austin now. So go find a business that wants to EARN you business! They are all suffering from people fleeing ATX so YOU are in control. You have all the options they have none. Bargain with them and walk away if they do not want to play ball. Business is Business and you deserve to fail of you can't offer a good service for a good price. Note the fees are NOT your deposit for rental.

This is by far my favorite apartment I’ve lived in. There is a large pool with lazy river, fun clubhouse, and it is close proximity to shopping and all restaurants you could need. The apartments are brand new with stylish cabinets and a updated look. There is no carpet in the units which I prefer and the community is gated so it feels very safe. Thuy and her team are amazing! They are very accommodating and answer any questions I’ve had.

Just had someone broke in my room and found out that my room had 2 key fobs activated, none of them is what I’m having. Filed the report to #AustinPoliceDepartment , in touch with #KVUE #CBS #SpectrumNEWs #KXAN #FOX7 and now at their office with a lot of questions they couldn’t answer but told me to wait, and wait till next week. I don’t know how many team/faces they have changed here, but none of them were the same when I moved in 4 months ago. Rethink twice or more if you’re ready to have yourself of family members experience like what I did or even worst. Night Shift/On Call emergency would come alone and knock on your door with no Uniform, took your key and come back later and tell you “Your Key Fob doesn’t work and not on the system but other two!.” To #Avenue5 #Avenue5Residential, I’ve tried to reach you, but I’ve never heard back. #AuraHighPointe #Austin do need a better quality property and communication management here #ASAP ! I felt very offended when I tried to get help or assistance from them, felt like I had to beg them to get help. Very disrespectful attitude and zero first impression I have received both from their verbal and non verbal languages. I hope the headquarter management team will get to see this message and address to this team : Jennifer, RaShonda and Donna. I do believe will be a beautiful place to live in but #People is the key, the property team here need to work a lot on mindset, empathy, attitude and learn more how to assist and response all requests and r-mail not like I have to follow twice or more times per day. Hope to hear from you soon, #Avenu5 #Avenue5Residential

We just moved in and while it had it’s bumps (completely our fault) RaShonda was absolutely incredible to work with! Moving is stressful and time consuming but she patiently helped us every step of the way and made it so much fun! 11/10 service and such a beautiful complex as well! So grateful to have worked with RaShonda:)

We have never experienced such a poorly run apartment community. I would not recommend this property to anyone. Our move-in was delayed by a full month, and we were charged a $200 fee because their payment system allegedly didn’t recognize overdraft protection. More recently, we experienced a major flood, and management was no help whatsoever. Communication has been essentially nonexistent—calls, emails, and texts go unanswered. After the flood, we were forced to move due to the situation and management’s refusal to respond. Based on our experience, we would never do business with Avenue5 or Aura High Pointe again and are considering legal remedies.

There is a bad air in the corridors due to poor ventilation and bags of trash that usually wait outside of the apartments to be picked up.

The entire building 1 halls smell really bad (I’m not sure about the other buildings). The office doesn’t really enforce trash rules so people often have their trash out for valet service at all times of the day and on weekends. You would think they would enforce the trash rules so it’s nice and clean here and that they would occasionally clean the halls so they wouldn’t smell. The front office staff and maintenance people are super nice. I would love to update my review to 5 stars if they enforce the trash/cleanliness habit. I’ll keep an eye out for any improvements.

You wouldn’t think that a brand new apartment complex would have issues with sewage backing up into the apartment to the point of beyond the baseboards. You definitely wouldn’t think that once mold began to grow and cause you and your family to become sick that the complex would deny the existence of the mole that is visually apparent. You surely wouldn’t think that management would send maintenance that would continue to deny the presence of the mold although you and your family are extremely sick from it. After being ignored repeatedly about the situation, I think most people would be upset. But oh no, you would never think that once you go into the office to talk to them about getting the problem resolved, they would tell you you are yelling and use that as an excuse to evict you after paying your rent. To add insult to injury, maintenance disconnected the electricity at six in the morning on the day that we were moving out. There are much better places in the area to live. Don’t be fooled by the lure of two months of free rent. It’s not worth it..

The apartment complex is new and overall very nice, but since construction is still ongoing there are a few missing amenities…The most obvious is that the dog park has no trash cans and there were poop bags sitting around, which is unsanitary. In addition, the grills were not yet functional when touring and there were no tubes provided for the lazy river, so some of the advertised amenities can’t yet be fully enjoyed. Otherwise seems like a potentially nice community.

Gorgeous property and they have an actual lazy river! Unbelievable!!! Melissa in leasing is so kind and gave us an amazing tour as well!

Great location and friendly staff. My issue lies with the actual building. First week of moving in, the A/C did not work, walked in and everything was wet to the touch. First time using the washing machine it flooded the floor. Kitchen sink does not have hot water, dryer completely stopped working after the 4th time being used. Occasionally on the weekends the hallway smells like marijuana which to me is kind of trashy. Keep in mind these are brand new builds. I know these are not super luxurious apartments but still have been way too many inconveniences for the 1 month that I’ve lived here.
