WOW. I just want to say how amazing the maintenance team here is at the Nine at Rio. Never have I ever had any complaints about the care of both Carlos and Yuni. They are absolutely amazing, and I have so much appreciation that they do for the residents. Although it's just them two, they truly put so much effort into making sure that their residents feel heard and seen. Even outside of maintenance orders, they truly love to interact with everyone, making it feel like a community. One time, my washer broke, and I was able to get a replacement the very next day! I really appreciate how much they care.

We are on day 3 of no elevator. There is no timeline given to residents on when this will be fixed. "Maintenance is in progress!" "We are working on the issue!". These are the only responses management will give, with no actual timeline on WHEN THE ELEVATORS WILL BE FIXED. Residents are climbing 7 floors up and down. There is no way to get groceries. The packages are piling up at the entrance, and there's no security to check when residents go to retrieve them. This place is a complete dump.

For almost the entirety of the past leasing year (2025-2026), the front elevator has been broken. It takes 5-6 minutes for the only other elevator (located in the far back of the building) to move between floors, and it is located next to a disgusting and frequently overflowing trash can. Today, we recieved notice that the back elevator is ALSO broken, in addition to the front elevator, which has not worked for months. There is absolutely no urgency to fix either of these issues, which have been occurring throughout the year. This is an EXTREME accessbility issue (and a violation of the Fair Housing Act) and is absolutely unacceptable. Management needs to be on top of such issues before they occur. DO NOT SIGN HERE.

I have currently lived here for only three months and I can confidently say it’s the worst in which I have ever stayed in my entire life. Firstly, there is extreme humidity all over the building leading to the walls in the corridors smelling quite humid and the growing of black mold in my apartment. Not only that since the staff is so lazy the office hours only last till 5 pm leaving you without help for most of the day. On top of that I have had two packed stolen one of which was in the lobby and the other in front of my front door. When you try to ask for help to the lobby staff they’re all snarky and again since they are so lazy, they use AI bots which do not work for every single phone line available. Highly don’t recommend. Will definitely not be staying.

To any future residents: I would advise looking elsewhere for housing. Regardless of the complete disrespect and lack of communication shown by management, the building has fundamental infrastructure issues that will lead to problems that you will not face in other apartment buildings in West Campus. The entire building has a humidity issue; as a resident of two years, I have experienced extreme humidity in both of my apartments that were not solved even with industrial grade dehumidifiers running for days. It is very clear as soon as you walk into the units that the humidity level is far higher than what it should be. Our sheets are damp and the moisture in the air is tangible. Perhaps I have just been unlucky with my two different units, but after speaking to other residents here at the Nine, I know that my roommates and I are not the only ones with humidity issues. At the beginning of the year, even the maintenance worker told me that the humidity was a pervasive issue throughout the building. Humidity itself may not be a large enough problem, but the mold and bugs that come with the humidity are. As seen in other reviews, there are entire units that are infested with mold and bugs that are likely not isolated cases. If you try to raise your concerns with management, they will blame the humidity on plants (that my first apartment didn't have) or any other excuse that they can bring up so that they can do less than the bare minimum of giving their residents a bearable living situation. Save yourself the worry and the trouble and find another place to live.
