The Canyons Apartments

I don’t enjoy leaving negative reviews, but I feel it’s important to share my experience for anyone considering signing a lease at The Canyons. Since moving in, I’ve had very few full nights of sleep in the bedroom. The walls and floors are extremely thin, and even normal walking from upstairs neighbors creates loud creaking, shaking, and vibrations that carry directly through the ceiling. Even a simple flush from the toilet above can be clearly heard. This isn’t about unreasonable neighbors, it’s a construction issue. I’ve lived in multiple apartment communities in the Fort Worth area and have never experienced noise transfer like this. Because of the noise, I’ve been sleeping in the living room/common area, under a desk (pictured), since it’s the only space where the upstairs neighbors aren’t walking directly above me during the night. The bedrooms are simply not usable for sleeping. Several friends and my fiancée have stayed the night and all reported the same issue… constant noise and poor sleep. I tried everything to make it work: white noise machines, fans, earbuds, rearranging furniture, and moving my mattress. Nothing solved the problem. What has been most frustrating is how the situation was handled. I raised concerns within days of moving in and was repeatedly told to “give it a few more days” and come back if the issue continued. I followed those instructions for multiple weeks, only to eventually be told that transfers are not allowed until 120 days into the lease. Even then, approval isn’t guaranteed, and transferring would mean losing rent concessions and paying additional fees. Breaking the lease would require paying several months of rent upfront, including repayment of concessions. Communication was also disappointing as I was told my concerns would be relayed to corporate, only to find out later nothing had been done, and multiple promises have been made to come check the unit with that never happening either. The location is great, but ultimately the building quality makes peaceful living very difficult. If you decide to lease here, be absolutely certain you’re comfortable with the unit because there appears to be little flexibility, even when serious issues arise immediately after move-in.

The property is clean, quiet, and well maintained. The office staff has been very helpful throughout the move-in process. Charles in the office especially stood out — he was professional, friendly, and quick to answer all my questions. He made everything smooth and stress-free. Really appreciate the great customer service and would definitely recommend this place!

My husband and I just moved into this apartment complex and we absolutely LOVE it! From day one, the community has been so welcoming and kind. It truly already feels like home. We especially want to give a huge thank you to Charles at the front desk. He has gone above and beyond to help us during our move-in process and has been incredibly patient, professional, and kind every step of the way. It makes such a difference when the staff genuinely cares. We’re so happy we chose to live here!

Toured several units on 1/5/26 with Charles, It was such an amazing touring experience! Charles was super friendly and made the whole process easy and enjoyable. The apartment was stunning and exactly what I was looking for. Everything was explained clearly, and I never felt pressured. I left the tour feeling confident and excited. Definitely recommend!

It was truly a pleasure visiting Canyon Apartments to complete our application. The leasing staff are very friendly, helpful with everything you need, and answer all questions clearly, always looking for the best solution and the best price for your rental. The apartments they showed us were in excellent condition, and the condominium areas were clean and tidy. I absolutely loved it.
