After repeated issues and unresolved concerns, it’s important to share what living here has actually been like. There have been ongoing problems with management responsiveness and professionalism. Communication is often delayed, inconsistent, or dismissive. The regional manager, in particular, has interacted with tenants in a manner that feels disrespectful and unprofessional rather than solution-focused. Residents should not feel spoken down to when raising legitimate concerns. There have also been serious privacy lapses. On multiple occasions, eviction notices and other residents’ personal information were mistakenly emailed to the entire tenant distribution list. Receiving confidential documents that clearly were not intended for you raises major concerns about how securely resident information is handled. In addition, there are persistent safety issues within the building. There have been instances of suspected scam activity and behavior that appears drug-related. Unauthorized individuals frequently access the property and are often found loitering or sleeping in the stairwells. These ongoing issues contribute to an atmosphere that does not feel secure for paying residents. When you are paying rent, you expect professionalism, accountability, privacy protection, and a safe living environment. Unfortunately, those expectations have not been consistently met here. Prospective tenants should carefully evaluate management practices and building security before signing a lease.

Zero stars. Management is unresponsive and at times openly disrespectful. The regional manager communicates in a condescending manner instead of addressing tenant concerns constructively. Eviction notices and other tenants’ personal information have been emailed to the entire complex on multiple occasions. That level of carelessness with private information is unacceptable. There are also serious safety concerns. Suspected scam activity, apparent drug-related behavior, and unauthorized individuals frequently sleeping or loitering in stairwells have made the building feel unsafe. These issues do not appear to be handled with urgency or transparency. When you pay rent, you expect respect, privacy, and security. This property has consistently failed to meet those basic expectations. Renters should proceed with caution.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. This has been one of the most unprofessional and disappointing rental experiences I’ve ever had. Management is consistently unresponsive, and when they do respond, the tone is often dismissive rather than solution-oriented. The regional manager in particular has been openly disrespectful toward tenants. Instead of addressing concerns with professionalism, communication often feels combative and condescending. As paying residents, we deserve to be treated with basic respect — not spoken down to. Even more concerning, there have been multiple incidents where eviction notices and other tenants’ personal information were emailed out to the entire complex. Receiving private documents that clearly were not meant for you is alarming. This raises serious concerns about how resident information is being handled and whether proper safeguards are in place to protect tenant privacy. For the amount charged in rent, the level of professionalism, communication, and privacy protection does not align with what residents should expect. I would strongly encourage anyone considering signing a lease here to thoroughly research and ask detailed questions before committing.

I have lived at 2111 Austin Apartments for some time now and I have unfortunately seen a significant decline in the way this property is being managed. Since management changed and Kimberly, who was honestly one of the best property managers during my time here, is no longer with the property, things have noticeably gone downhill. Communication and overall organization now feel chaotic. Instead of focusing on improving the quality and safety of the community, management seems primarily focused on aggressively pursuing resident balances while major property concerns continue to go unaddressed. There are ongoing issues with the gates not working and the elevators frequently being down or under maintenance. There has also been an increasing presence of homeless individuals around the property. The front entrance door was recently changed, which altered the aesthetic of the building, yet it still remains open at times, defeating the purpose of added security. It is disappointing because this property once felt well managed and cared for. Residents deserve consistent leadership, proper maintenance, and a safe and secure living environment, not constant stress over administrative matters while essential facility issues are overlooked. I truly hope ownership takes these concerns seriously and works toward restoring the standard this property once had.

The vibe of this building has completely changed and not for the better. Since the management transition, it feels like the focus is on the wrong things. Residents are being bombarded with emails daily, and management seems overly intrusive, yet the real issues are being ignored. Packages are constantly being stolen. Homeless individuals are sleeping in the stairwells. The hallways are filthy, the walls are visibly dirty, and some days the smell of weed fills common areas. Elevators are frequently down, and gates break almost weekly. These are ongoing problems that directly affect residents’ safety and quality of living. Instead, management is prioritizing things like pool gate codes despite the fact that it been cold, the pool gates have never been a resident complaint, and this is far from a pressing concern. They also removed one of the few genuinely nice touches of the building the front doors. It may seem small, but details like that are part of what made this place feel welcoming and worth the rent. Taking them away while ignoring major issues only adds to residents frustration. Based on conversations in our residents GroupMe, this new approach is turning people off across the board. Residents are the reason this building operates and generates income. If you’re considering renting here, consider this a fair warning: • Security issues are ignored • Cleanliness is neglected (the pool furniture is filthy) • Communication is excessive but ineffective now This building has potential, but the current management direction is disappointing and frustrating. On top of everything else, putting a dog park in the basement next to the elevators was one of the worst decisions made. The area constantly smells like urine, and it’s the first thing residents and guests encounter, which is both unpleasant and embarrassing. Management used to be one of the few positives here. Kim, Will, and Jennifer and Sheliyah were excellent approachable, present, and genuinely made residents feel comfortable. Before them, Chelsea was manager but rarely even showed up to work, which already caused frustration. Unfortunately, the current management is a major step backward from what residents once experienced. This apartment complex was once such a great place that residents actually built a real sense of community with one another. A huge part of that was Kimberly she was responsive, helpful, and genuinely cared. Finding out that she is no longer here has been shocking and incredibly disappointing. Hopefully Jennifer and William remain for the duration of my lease, because they have also been consistent and supportive. Right now, this change in management is the main topic of conversation in our residents’ group chat, and the overall sentiment is frustration and disbelief. This review is not posted under my real name because I refuse to be retaliated against for speaking honestly. Residents should be able to share their experiences without fear.
