I'm a resident of these apartments and I'm going to tell you something because I had a bad experience when you go to sign your contract. Pay close attention to the start and end dates because they tell you it's for a year and then they extend it to keep you there paying rent. In my case, they told me the contract was for a year, but because I didn't check, they extended it to 13 and a half months.

Be Aware if you don't get approved they will keep your deposit instead of returning it. I will be filing a complaint with BBB the website shows Refundable in ( ) so to tell customers they are keeping it is stealing. Put Nonrefundable instead. Don't sign nor initial anything. The tactics they use to take hard earned money from individuals is VERY NASTY. Don't reply with the trying to save face message for the company. Just return my money as quick as it was taken. DO NOT FALL FOR THE SPECIAL TACTIC YOU WILL BE SCAMMED and wasted your time and gas.

It's the worst place you could ever live. The houses are very old and desperately need repairs, and then they try to charge you for all of it later. The reception staff, especially Daysi, never have time to help you and is always in a bad mood. Don't waste your time renting here because you'll regret it for the rest of your life.

Went to tour and loved the fact that they have attached garages to every apartment. The property was also very clean and upkept. Daisy the manager helped me, she was very knowledgeable and kind. She greeted me as soon as I walked in, I have been to other communities where they don't even aknowledge you. Will be applying soon.

What a HORRIBLE place. It's super old, has cockroaches, and the water goes out all the time because all the pipes are old and keep breaking. Plus, they're really cheap. Instead of replacing things, they hire a painting crew and repaint everything. For example, the bathtub. All the paint on the bathtub starts peeling before the sixth month of living in the apartment. They CHARGE you for this peeling paint when you MOVE OUT. The same thing happens with the garage paint; it's going to make your car's wheels peel off. This is normal wear and tear and shouldn't be charged for. If they hadn't been so cheap from the start, this wouldn't have happened. Yes, folks, they're very nice to you when you move in, but when you want to move out, they start treating you badly. They don't want to do the service order and just ignore you. TERRIBLE management. The manager, DAISY, is the most FAKE person you'll ever meet. Oh, and listen, I don't care how well you take care of the apartment and keep it clean. They'll take your entire deposit and charge you a ton of fees to cover their old apartments and charge future tenants. They do this over and over again. Oh, and if that's not enough, they don't call or send an invoice. They just send it straight to collections. I'm so disappointed with this place. YOU DON'T LIVE HERE. All these "good reviews" are requested when you sign the lease. DON'T GET FOOLED!! DON'T DO IT!!! YOU'LL REGRET IT!!!! THEY'RE MOLDED!!!

I had the worst experience of my life in these apartments. A whole year living with broken bathtubs, cockroaches, and a cracked balcony floor, and now that I have to leave, they're charging me for bathtub repairs and other things they've made up. I left the apartment in the same condition it was in when I received it from the beginning, and now they're calling to tell me I owe more than $800 and that the deposit wasn't enough to cover the repairs. No. I find this completely unfair, and I publicly demand an explanation from management. In short, if you don't want your money stolen, never, ever rent in these apartments 😠😡. They're not worth what you'll pay, nor what they'll steal from you when you leave. Beware.

Expect fraudulent charges for normal wear and tear (Cleaning, carpet replacement, tub resurfacing). Expect them to send charges to collections instead of responding if you try to contact them for clarification. Do not trust their smiling lying faces. Document extensively and demand in person inspection before you leave.

I put 5 stars so that anybody actually want a real review here it goes. Normally I don't review on bad I try my best to give them the benefit of doubt. SCAM SCAM SCAM APTS. Mrs "Rocky" makes you feel like "family" just to get you to pay fo the application. They tell us it's one fee and then b4 you pay it's an entire deposit on it. We passed the application phase and paid everything for her to say "Oh it was to have final approval by her boss." We provided everything make 6 times the rent and after we finally said we were fed up she emails us saying we won't be approved. Look in all honesty...if you already short on money or time this is not the place. Not only did they notify the Apts we were at that we were trying to move without our knowledge, they set us back big time. DONT DO IT

I have lived here over a year and just renewed my lease. The area is in a great location, if you like being on this side of Houston. I need a garage and every unit has one. Had some minor issues but nothing major. My bedroom fit my king size set and the closet is huge. Beautiful trees and near a walking trail and library. One of the best places to live in Westchase.

Dear Management Team, I am writing to formally document my experiences dealing with the staff at Richmond Towne Homes concerning the persistent rat infestation issue in my building and specifically in Unit 204. As a resident of Richmond Towne Homes for the past four months, I have unfortunately found the level of service regarding pest control to be substandard, contradicting the community's stated commitment to providing the best living environment for its residents. On March 24, 2024, I reported the presence of rats in my unit through the apartment service portal. Despite this, the initial response was inadequate, as an incorrect pest control technician was dispatched. Upon his visit, he acknowledged several entry points for the rats, including a hole in the garage door and access through the laundry room, leading to my second bedroom/office. He assured me of a return visit to address these issues, which included plugging the entry points and applying treatment. In the meantime, I took proactive measures by purchasing traps, resulting in the capture and elimination of six rats since March 24, 2024. Subsequent attempts to address the infestation have been met with further challenges. On March 27, 2024, I submitted a follow-up pest control request, only to receive an email on April 5, 2024, stating that entry to the unit was not possible, despite previous instances of maintenance accessing my unit through the garage. During an in-person visit to the leasing office on April 6, 2024, I encountered a lack of awareness and urgency from the front desk representative regarding the rodent issue. This interaction, coupled with the delayed response from management, raises concerns about the level of competence and commitment to resolving resident issues promptly. Despite assurances, the scheduled pest control visit on April 8, 2024, did not include treatment for my unit, resulting in further frustration and inconvenience. It is disheartening to note the delayed communication within the office, leading to missed opportunities for timely intervention and treatment. The recent action of lazily plugging the hole in the laundry room, as seen in the attached images, falls short of the expected standard of service. Furthermore, being advised to wait until April 15, 2024, for the next round of pest control adds to the ongoing dissatisfaction and health concerns posed by the infestation. I urge Richmond Townhomes and the United Apartment Group to take immediate and comprehensive action to address this issue effectively. The current level of service, communication gaps, and delayed response are unacceptable and do not align with the standards expected in a residential community. I anticipate a swift and satisfactory resolution to this matter and would appreciate a response outlining the steps that will be taken to rectify the situation. Thank you for your attention to this urgent matter.

I am writing to address a pressing issue regarding a rat infestation in my apartment unit, #204. I have taken proactive measures, including setting traps in the laundry room, kitchen and second bedroom/office, where Rat #6 was caught today 4/9/24. I reported this pest control issue on 3/24/24, 3/27/24 (my request was cancelled, see screenshot), and 4/8/24. Despite multiple in-person reports to various individuals in the leasing office, no resolution or planned action has been taken. Despite assurances, the scheduled pest control visit on 4/8/24 did not include treatment for my unit 204, as communication regarding my report was not relayed in time for scheduling. This situation has become increasingly concerning, and I cannot afford to wait until the next scheduled pest control visit on 4/15/24. The presence of rats poses a significant health and safety risk, and immediate action is necessary. Please prioritize my request for immediate pest control treatment for unit 204. Addressing this issue promptly is crucial to ensure residents' well-being and the property's overall integrity.

Living here was a good experience. Daisy is a wonderful apartment manager who pays attention to detail especially with those who live on the property. Every encounter that I’ve had with her has been positive and reassuring. The maintenance team is also great and very prompt. Anytime I’ve had a problem they would come same day or next morning to work on it. This community has garages which is a great addition if you’re interested in more space, safety and security.

Terrible. Will suck you out of money whenever it can. Any pretensions that they will respond to your complaints are lies. They fraudulently charged a move out cleaning fee after I already cleaned it myself and then refused to respond and sold the fraudulent bill to collections. I tried calling (goes to machine answering service and can't get hold of person), emailing (no response), and filling out the form on their website (just gives you, "thanks for your interest" spam email).

This place is ok to live at... It is safe but your electric bills will be very high here. Be aware of poor maintenance services and front desk staff that is too friendly but does nothing for you really. At the end of your lease, don't expect your deposit back. They will find a way to add charges for any little thing even when the apartment they first even handed to you had a bunch of flaws. Mine didn't even come with a toilet tank flush lever on my move in date and my walls were clearly of different color all throughout the apartment and the floor was lifted at weird spots where it made it hard to be bare foot without it being uncomfortable on my feet. But in requests for those things and only the lever got resolved... gave up on the floor and paint because at that point I got tired of trying to be heard.

We just moved in; the overall process was smooth. The office staff has been responsive and friendly. They will return your call/message. It's cold outside so not much activity and it's been quiet. I really like that there is only one point of entry even the office is inside the gate, so no one comes in unless they have a reason. The unit (we're in a 2/2) is spacious with plenty of storage and shelving, the garage is definitely a plus, this unit has a small storage room. It's a relatively small complex but has a lovely club house, a workout room, pool with lounge chairs and BBQ pits. I'm moving from a large house in the burbs, if you're looking to downsize and be close to everything this could be the place for you!

My elderly parents have been living here for almost four years, the staff is friendly and accommodating - going over and above for them. Constansio and Oscar have been phenomenal, answering immediately and kindly to their various needs. For the reasons Abby gave (failure to follow their own contract), we are considering a class action lawsuit against UAG, so keep your forwarding addresses current (using a P.O. box if needed) for our attorney to find you after you move out, please. As Hayden and 1-2 others noted, Apt Manager has spotty (inconsistent) communication skills and bullies tenants in ways that violate the lease agreement after she cannot (legally) get what she wants, and we agree that $22 valet trash is overpriced (we also weren't given it in an itemized list of expenses upon move-in), and other utils are somewhat high for such small places but not the worst aspect of living here, creaking gates (breaking often because not lubed properly -- again because Apt Manager doesn't know how to direct her maintenance guys or third party contractors, to save her boss money by maintaining things properly), and no insect control, but fire ant hills are what I see all over, instead of roaches indoors. And as Jaylon noted, we also find the ditzy Apt Manager is not repairing CRITICAL infrastructure, whilst overspending on superficial improvements that her contractors aren't even making in a sensible, competent manner (poor oversight-inspection, eg. failure to direct contractors to fix the worst damaged areas).

Richmond Towne Home have the BEST MAINTENANCE MEN! The have came to my aid on multiple occasions. I accidently locked myself on the patio, when the safety bar fell. I had the front and back doors locked and could not get in. They were able to open the patio door without breaking glass. Today, I could not the garage door would only move 1 foot off the ground. In a matter of minutes, they were able to fix it. Then, I had a sofa, that only needed cleaning and would have cost me $100 to dispose. They took the sofa and will donate it to someone else.

It is very obvious the staff here only cares about money. Moved here fresh out of college and was sent multiple renewal offers, only to find out the lease renewed automatically without a 60 day notice. This was only communicated in our lease packet, all other communication was asking us if we wanted to renew, which in my opinion took advantage of the fact this was my first non-student housing. We lived here during the winter storm. Called their "emergency maintenance line" which I don't even think was a real number. Never even gave the option to leave a voicemail. Our heater was broken and they never came out to fix it so when power went out our apartment was already freezing and it eventually got into the 30s before we had to bail. Multiple floor boards popped up from the low temps, which of course we had to pay for. Someone once tried to break into our apartment, twice in two days. Once at about 1 in the morning, and the next day around noon. There was a bank robbery down the road on Westheimer while we lived there also, lock your doors while you drive around fyi. They claim to be "luxury" but they are not. The floor boards popped up (some before the freeze), the spring to our garage door broke, the paint came off the walls incredibly easily, the toilet paper dispenser would constantly fall off. When we moved out, we had to replace the carpet on the stairs and they charged us over $800! For just the carpet! Not to mention the other cleaning fees they tacked on as well. Felt like they very much took advantage of us being naive and new to non-student housing. It was incredibly difficult to get confirmation once we had submitted our notice to vacate, and your notice is void if you don't receive written confirmation they got it. Beware if you live here. Bad neighborhood, poor service, definitely mostly after your money. Best part about the place is the stray cat colony and maintenance guys.

I HATE IT HERE!!! From the day I moved in there has been issues after issues after issue. Every single month the power just shuts off. Instead of them fixing the electrical problem that just continue to turn it back on from the main line. I’m so sick of this place and I refuse to pay another dime here!!! Latest review. .1)moved out of the apartment.it wasn’t so bad sincerely.But my packages were stolen during Christmas but nothing can be done about it because I think their cameras don’t truly work or are only working at their own leasing offices. 2)Had another incident in front of my house which I didn’t like at all. 3)Maintenance is super quick for sure 4)But when you moving out be rest assured you wouldn’t get a dime back with the new management.They will add all kinds of bills even the wash the carpet that is wear & tear you will get charged for it. 5)Looking at your monthly bill can make you confused with all sort of charges in there.

I am revising my ratings for this place. 5 stars for sure! Great management and great place to live. I lived here for 6 years and loved every minute spent here. With a garage with every apartment, it feels like a Town home. Great neighbors and very well maintained property. Easy access to everywhere. Restaurants, Salon, Movies, you name it. Moving out was extremely easy. No unnecessary charges and deposit was refunded within 2 days of moving out. Loved my stay! Highly recommended.

Old management was extremely professional and on top of things around the complex. New management does the bare minimum. First rule, should be good customer service. Daisy is unprofessional and doesn't know how to speak to people. They are letting just anybody move in and wonder why the complex is going down hill. It's unfortunate. It was a nice place to live until the management changed. Who want's to pay that rent and have to deal with ridiculous, rude people in the office.

DO NOT RENT HERE! TLDR: Richmond Towne Homes has been under new management as of late 2020, and is now managed by United Apartment Group (UAG). I would not recommend renting a unit at Richmond Townehomes or anywhere else managed by UAG. We only lived there for a year and have a lot to say. The really bad: -UAG management has demonstrated a lack of willingness to communicate and an inability to conduct themselves professionally. -They refused to help us submit an early move out request (we were relocating for work before the end of our lease term). Our lease allowed for early move out with a fee, which we were happy to pay. They refused to help us and forced us to keep paying for an apartment in which we could not live, costing us thousands of dollars. -After our lease term was over, they failed to notify us of an unpaid balance on our account (which was just our water bill for our last month). We have always paid our bill on time and would have been happy to pay the balance we owed. Instead of exercising basic communication, they sent us to a debt collection agency. Previous management utilized an automatic notification if your account was overdue, new management instead prefers to send you to collection. The kicker- after you move out you no longer have access to your portal and cannot simply log on and pay. -Their online portal no longer allowed me to view my lease, as move-out was approaching I asked them numerous times to email me a copy so I could refresh myself on what my obligations were, which they refused to do. -They will not reply to your emails. I notified them 4 separate times that I did not have a copy of my lease, they never replied and denied receiving my emails when I called them. Even after I called them they still would not send me a copy of my lease. The ‘kinda’ bad: -The front gates often break. When this happens they leave them open (often overnight). Several car thefts occurred, and packages commonly went missing during these periods. -The mail boxes (PO style boxes) were broken into several times, there are no security cameras near the boxes and nothing was ever done to prevent this from reoccurring. The ‘not as advertised’: -The apartments are poorly insulated and only have single pane windows, making them very hot and very expensive to keep cool. -The complex lies along a very busy road and is near a police station. We were woken up by sirens nearly every night. -The gym is very small and not air conditioned (only has a ceiling fan) which makes it unusable in the summer. -Despite the water being clear, while we lived there the pool was not regularly cleaned. We only used it once for a few minutes because we quickly realized we smelled like ‘duck pond’. The bottom of the pool is coated with algae. -We had packages stolen from us on several occasions. -Water, sewer and pest control are not included in your rent and must be paid separately. Our water + sewer usually ran $65/mo, and pest control was a few dollars extra. The max. Water bill we received was $125 one month. -There is also a valet trash collection service everyone has to pay for, it was $22/mo for us. It might be useful for some people, but it's a mandatory fee. The complex dumpsters are ~15 second walk away from nearly every apartment so in my opinion not worth it. -The above fees (water, sewer, pest, trash) totaled usually an extra $90-100/mo on top of rent. -We lived there for a year and never once actually saw insect control people, either they do it at night or very infrequently. We still had cockroaches in the garage and I had to continuously spray for them myself. -The only internet provider they will let you use is AT&T. Their internet is not that good and their service was also terrible, and it's very difficult to cancel. Honestly, even though the units themselves are reasonably nice and updated (they do actually look like the photos), between the terrible management and other headaches, you could get a better deal elsewhere and I would advise anyone looking to rent here to look elsewhere.

We love this place. No loud or crazy events or tenants. The apartment is very spacious, with a Big garage and a feeling of home. Angie and Kim are very personable. So gratefully we found this place and not some other rowdy complex.

Phone number on website does not work. Went on two different occasions to view an apartment. The first time no one picked up the phone. Second time I setup an appointment but when I arrived they were already busy with other visitors.

Hello! I just became a Richmond Towne Homes Resident last week and this is my my first place as a college student. The leasing, touring, and move in process has been a breeze thanks to Kim and Daisy in the front office! Oh and don't let me forget to mention the new sinks and the new paint on our buildings!! They already looked good before, but now they look refreshed and even more beautiful! I have definitely recommended this place to all of my friends!

AFTER SPEAKING WITH THE LEASING OFFICE & THE NEW COMPANY THAT OWNS THE PROPERTY NOW. THEY WORKED WITH ME IN CREDITING ME BACK THE FEE THAT I WAS CHARGED. WHICH WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL IN MY OPINION & MADE ME FEEL APPRECIATED. THE ONLY REASON WHY I DID NOT GIVE A FULL FIVE STARS WAS BECAUSE I FEEL LIKE I WOULD LIKE TO SEE IF THE GENUINE CUSTOMER SERVICE WILL CONTINUE AFTER I HAVE UPDATED/CHANGE MY REVIEW. (ALSO KIM THE PROPERTY MANAGER WAS THE ONE WHO MADE THE EFFORT TO REACH OUT.) although it was after the review was posted. OLD REVIEW: RUN for the hills!! The first property owners here were greystar when I moved in. They were pretty good for the most part. Now there is a new property owner/ management (called UNITED APARTMENT ASSOCIATION). They have not even been here 60 days & already have had a horrible experience with them. Regarding a fee that I should have not been charged. I have spoken with the NEW property manager who’s name is KIM! She seems nice but is very shading and tells you one thing and than goes and does something completely different serious lack of integrity. If you do anything with her regarding what she saids get it in writing ✍️ because if not she will switch up on you. LESSON LEARNED BUT DEFINITELY FEEL AS THOUGH OTHERS SHOULD BE WARNED.
