The Cortesin at Eilan was easily one of the worst housing decisions I’ve ever made. The final straw was discovering extensive mold growth throughout parts of the unit, including inside the HVAC area that had previously been accessed by maintenance a week ago—which instead of bringing it to our attention, they tried to lock off the previously unlocked door and hide it! They left it to flow through our A/C and didn’t care—my nephew had sudden headaches, which is when we looked & found the black mold. After documenting the condition and confronting management, they suddenly agreed to release us from our lease, waive termination fees, refund our deposit, and reimburse rent. Ask yourself why a property would be willing to do all of that so quickly if this wasn’t a serious issue. It was extreme negligence by The Cortesin at Eilan, and they’re lucky we didn’t sue. (The refund terms demanded that we would take no legal action, how surprising). Despite that, they gave us only 7 days to fully vacate the apartment. That meant scrambling to move an entire household on extremely short notice, including my cognitively disabled brother, who ultimately had to be driven out of state to stay with family because the situation developed so abruptly. Not only did they refuse any relocation assistance, they offered absolutely nothing to help with the transition—not $500, not $50, not even basic assistance despite the hardship their handling of the situation created. Instead they charged me $700+ for invisible pet pee on the carpet after move out, even though they gave me little to no time to remedy anything, and I asked if I should have it professionally cleaned with no response. I figured no way they charge us after all this they’re putting us through, the place was immaculate besides that… WRONG! What bothered me most wasn’t just the mold—it was the complete lack of transparency. Nobody disclosed anything. Nobody warned us. Nobody said a word until we uncovered the issue ourselves, documented it & threatened legal actions. Then, after expecting us to vacate within 7 days because the unit was uninhabitable, they took 45 days to return the rest of our refund despite their own stated 30-day policy—which Allison gave me the run-around for, after promising it was coming week after week. They gave me 7 days to leave + charged me, which we did, but they took 45 days to fulfill their end? Ridiculous. Living here wasn’t great even before that. There was a constant sewer smell in the unit. The building is never visibly clean. The walls are paper thin. Constant construction is VERY loud which they claimed we wouldn’t hear with the doors/window closed—you very much do. You can hear neighbors through the walls, through the hallways, and from surrounding units. This complex is what I like to call putting lipstick on a pig—make it look pretty from the outside while the inside is actually a disaster covered by drywall & paint. + Late at night security would drive around in a golf cart blasting gangster rap music, which is honestly ridiculous for a property that markets itself as luxury living. I was upfront from the beginning that the main occupant was my cognitively disabled brother & I was only paying $3k/month for the “luxury” apartment so he can be in his own safe place. It quickly became obvious that this community was not a good fit for his needs, yet there was little understanding, flexibility, or willingness to work with us when concerns arose. They banned him from the community spaces for trying to mingle, but wouldn’t let us out of the lease—how miserable is that for him. 50 years old & disabled, only allowed in his room. They just want money, they don’t care about their residents wellbeing. If you’re looking for luxury living, transparency, caring management, and peace of mind, it’s NOT here. Our experience ended with mold, a forced move, delayed refunds, and management that was more concerned with protecting itself than taking care of residents. I would never live here again and would strongly caution others before signing a lease.

The staff is nice.. the place is beautiful & well maintained & secured. The Units are super nice & spacious. I've been here 6 months & no issues with break-ins so far. It's a great location closer to the RIM & LA CANTERA area which is very convenient. The only issue I've had so far is when your neighbors leave or come in you can hear the doors shut if they get slammed. Again , that's an issue with courtesy from your neighbors. The doors entering the building should also be fixed to where they don't completely slam leaving & entering the building. On the plus side they have events held each month in the clubhouse which give you an opportunity to meet your neighbors & socialize.

Management is responsive, kind, informative, attentive, and understanding. I cannot say enough great things about the office staff. Sabrina, Danalynn, and of course Allison. This is such a solid team and I can’t recommend Cortesin enough. Thank you all for everything you do. This community is clean, feels so comfortable and secure, and is maintained thanks to all of you, and the maintenance staff. Even the vendors who help with the community. You can tell everyone pays attention to detail here.
